Excited for this! I went back to Life Imitating Life recently for the first time in awhile, and came away with the conclusion that that album doesn't really work for me as a whole, despite a few wonderful songs. But All the Stars, Can't Love, and self-titled all remain excellent.

Also, while we're at it, repress your old albums on vinyl!

 

Definitely looking forward to this. Haven’t listened to them in a while- might be time for a discog run through

 

Something’s really off about that album art but I’m excited nonetheless

 

I just saw that this is coming out in two weeks! Pretty wild.

His voice sounds even higher than it used to be.

 

This is good! Not reinventing the wheel or anything, but it's solid song after solid song and Dan sounds better than he has in a long time. "Count On Each Other" and "Hear Your Name" are especially good.

Wish the whole album had the energy of “Hear Your Name” and “Give Up Trying”. On first listen, so much of it feels kinda flat because of the backing music/rhythm section. The back half was more appealing in general. He sounds great and the melodies are nice, need to find more chances to listen.

 

Shame Dan had a few better ideas with "For Now or never", "The heart Of It", "Okay or "Lies", because those songs were better than the best songs here i mean the singles.... 10years in the making is a bit disappointing
