i went in 2020, 2022, and 2023. Skipping this year for Tied Down instead.

the fest is fun & the space is cool except the bathrooms will get fucked up & parking last year was complicated and some people got towed.

you probably could’ve guessed just based on the lineup but it’s a very beatdown/ metallic hardcore leaning fest. That’s the clear preference of most people in the Louisville scene that book shows & start bands.

as such there will be a lot of crowdkilling and a lot of injuries— something the fest is pretty proud of. In 2022 I stage dove to Koyo & no one but the concrete floor caught me so I got a concussion and a scrape that went into my hairline and partially scalped me lol.

I’d say if you know what you’re getting into and like the bands it’s definitely worth going to.

If this thing did happen to bomb... they're playing Homesick in full at WWWY, they could easily make it Homesick album plays to pack it out.
I know this was resolved already, but I've seen them play as a full band numerous times in the past, & prefer it to them being a 2 piece with a laptop. I don't think they've done that in a really long time though

I can never predict the demand for these UK acts finally coming over to the US. I thought Suede coming back here was a big deal but demand never got crazy. Pulp on the other hand....didn't realize it was such a huge deal. Wonder if Blur is gonna finally play some more shows here.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Blur really underestimates the demand they have here. I understand why they do, but the proof was in the pudding with that Pomona Coachella warmup show selling out instantly. I read on Reddit that people from all over the country were trying to get tickets and fly in to the show.

They really make it sound like that show and their Coachella appearances will be their only shows here, but I could see doing a mini tour like Pulp and playing the big cities, and some of the smaller, music-centric ones

Pulp hasn't been in the states since 2012. Lots of new fans in that time along with the existing ones. Was expecting huge demand

A UK band Im surprised hasnt toured the US in years is The Libertines. Since their reunion they have played arenas and festivals all over the world, but havent played a US show since 2004, so I wonder if there is any demand for them in the US.

I used to be friends with a guy who was really into The Libertines and he once told me that they mainly have a following on the East Coast, but not really elsewhere here in the states. Not sure how accurate that is though
