sure, by “city population” it’s top 10. But to illustrate what I mean - Atlanta and DC both only have “city populations” of roughly 500,000 - 600,000, which is smaller than Jacksonville’s nearly 1 million. But that’s just because the technical “city limits” are way smaller and don’t even include the entire urban areas of DC and Atlanta, let alone the suburbs… while Jax’s city limits are like 20x the size of the actual city.

when you compare metro area, which measures how many people identify with living in that city’s area and go to that city often for work and entertainment…

DC and Atlanta are both around 6 million - five times larger than Jax’s 1.3 million. And if you’ve been to those cities that makes way more sense cause urban Jax is *TINY* in comparison. So Jax’s city population is just really misleading and doesn’t accurately illustrate its size

 

But then I’d have to live in Ohio
