I haven't played either (though my sister bought/loves RotTR and I'm definitely going to steal that from her sometime soon) but everything I've read makes me think RotTR is the better game as a great evolution of what the last one tried to do, where Mafia 3 is good with some problems in the open world design.

 

Right I've gone for TR. Ordered it just in time to get it tomorrow with prime, so I can binge a load of it this weekend. Thanks everyone.

 

Rise is a fantastic game, just really really great.

I've heard nothing but disappointment from Mafia 3 so I think it's an easy choice. Get Rise. Love it like we all do. Cheers!

I'm only 4 hours into Mafia 3, but I can see the criticism. It does seem to get pretty repetitive, but the story is keeping me drawn into it. Still a solid game.

 

Mafia 3 is the kind of thing I'm not dying to play, but will pick up in a heartbeat when it's $30 on Black Friday.

 

I'll grab it for $15 or so one day. The negative buzz has me a bit turned off and I have too many games in my queue...

 

Tempted to grab TF2 tonight but I'm too worried it's gonna die in a month like the first one did.

 

ROTTR is fantastic. I'd take Uncharted 4 over it, but it improved a lot on what the reboot tried to do. I love the setting of ROTTR much more than the reboot as well.

 

How bad are the issues in Mafia 3? Still psyched to play it, and those games have never had the polished design of GTA, so I already know going in to not expect an open world experience quite that good. As long as the story and setting remain interesting and the gameplay is at least competent I'm good.

 

i played like ass in the couple of titanfall 2 matches i played.

 

I think im gonna redbox it today after work to see if I like it

 

it runs great right now besides inviting friends into games not working. ive gotten so used to battlefield over the last week that ive got to get used to how titanfall plays.

 

what's the current state of The Division like? I'm intrigued and may just scoop it up for the $15 it is on Amazon.

 

The issues are quite overblown, definitely people making mountains out of molehills. I loved the game.

 

Story and setting is great. Gameplay is fine 3rd person shooter with a ton of weight. Mission design is very repetitive, though.

 

Wow, Life is Strange. Just finished episode 2, which nearly had me in tears. I'm currently very wracked with guilt.

Also, any good recs for LiS-esque games? I have Wolf Among Us already, and am not a zombie guy, so I have to assume Walking Dead would be out as well.

 

I'm not a Zombie fan at all and love TWD games, story is just excellent. Really ANY TellTale game is good if your looking for the point and click type thing. Most in here see LiS as the best so far it seems.

 

Out of all the ones I played Walking Dead was my favorite
