bit of a strange q — anyone know great albums that were made while the artist was working’ a 9 to 5?

i applied to and received my first 9 to 5 job offer out in new mexico and am struggling with putting music dreams “aside” (and leaving a musical collaborator / sweetheart here in asheville) for it…

it’s kind of my 20 yr old self’s dream job but idk how i feel at 26

 

Seeing Awakebutstillinbed now with some band called Your Arms Are My Cocoon who I have never listened to before. There’s a lot of people here for it being a Sunday. Apparently Your Arms Are My Cocoon are really popular, seems like a lot of people are here for them. I’ve only ever heard there name a couple times in passing. Anyone know them?

I like everything about them minus the vocals but I’m sure I’d get used to them with subsequent listens.

Also I was confused why there were furries here because I’ve never seen them associated with Awakebutstillinbed or Insignificant Other but then the vocalist of Your Arms Are My Cocoon came out in a furry hat, so it seems like they have a dedicated fan base among furries (and non-furries too)

 

This thread made me wonder what happened to Paulson. Just saw they're doing their first shows in 12 years this year. Madness
