Half of me REALLY hopes they put Cold Years on this tour and the other half is semi-worried Cold Years would blow TGA off the stage every night. And I say that with TGA being my all time favorite band.

I haven't seen them to be fair, but people claim they crush it and I believe them. You can hear the hunger and youthful energy in these guys even on the album. I'd be pretty surprised if they weren't insanely good live. But good point! Don't know for sure.

He’s singing in a higher register on these new songs, but did you listen to the last record?

I just listened to the new songs, why did he switch it up? It sounds worse.

Not sure. I like the new songs enough on the strength of the songs themselves, but I definitely think he sounded better on the last two records

I only listened to the new songs briefly, waiting for the album, but I admit I noticed this too and prefer the previous way he was singing. Not enough to make a huge difference for me but something I did notice right away, especially on Choke

Cold Years are great. Haven't seen them live other than youtube videos but they'll absolutely bring more energy than TGA at this point of their respective careers. That'd be a dream show.

Having never listened to Cold Years until just now - this is fine. I'd be ok with them as an opener but it doesn't blow me away at all.

Oh, and I guess these newer songs are not my vibe.

Back to Gaslight, I do think this "old/new" songs description is interesting, I find it kinda hard to believe they'd have Butch Walker hired to produce just alt or acoustic versions of older songs. Maybe it's an EP that features both old and new? Will be interesting.

Saw TGA in Copenhagen on Saturday and the idea of any support act blowing them off stage is hilarious. I haven’t seen them have this much fun together on stage since, like, 2012. Brian has gone all in on the Hetfield look and plays the entire set on an Gibson Explorer while wearing a Ride the Lightning jacket. Good vibes, good banter, and a perfect setlist

I can’t wait to hear Brian talk for half of the set and piss everyone off. I know people love to hate his banter, but I find it to be some of the best banter around and highly entertaining. Also the guys play 2 hours every night so it’s not surprising he has to slow the pace of their live show. Excited to see who is opening and hear some new songs live.

I don't mind the banter at all, but on some tours they play 18 songs and others they play 23-26. Pretty big difference obviously.
