Not that I’ve heard of. She last played during the second leg of the Masseduction tour.

They're opening the Sum tour, so I can only assume so?

With Sum only having 1 show between 17-23 and it being Chicago, I think it's safe to assume they'll do an aftershow too probably with Interrupters

 

Don't know if the actual band will play.. but I could see the members doing stuff with Nofx, etc

 

What exactly would they do with NOFX?

No Chicago date for The Hold Steady's summer "tour"

 

Just seeing Cyndi Lauper is playing Glastonbury, I think if she played Riot - that would be pretty bad ass

 

Not that it was likely but hans zimmer is out, but his Chicago date at united center is 9/22 so counter programming if you don’t like slayer

 

Genuinely considering that. Zimmer live looks like a ton of fun.

 

Interpol are playing anniversary tours for Antics in the UK and Antics and Turn on the Bright Lights in Soith America.

So far they dont have any shows for this in the US, it would be a cool get for Riot

 

Is Guthrie Govan still playing guitar with Zimmer? Because Guthrie alone would be enough reason to check it out.

Laura Jane is playing an Op Ivy set with Catbite at Supernova the week before Riot - me thinks this could be a Riot aftershow

 

i would be front row for this at riot but feel like it could be exclusive to supernova. festivals in general need more non-traditional sets like this. something like this would be so so rad. hell id even love to get post malone doing a nirvana (or general rock covers) set or the one i dreamed up a few years ago where its jack white ft dolly, each doing a mix of each's solo and then a few duets together

 

I love the concept and am legit stoked that this is happening (even if I may or may not be there) but... I kinda hope Riot doesn't book this. For the main festival, or even an afterparty. At least not this year.

Not because it wouldn't be a blast but swooping in and snaking a really cool, fun idea from another festival would be kinda shitty. Because there's people (myself included) who this could very well be a major draw for them to attend Super Nova instead of Riot.

It just makes me uncomfortable to think about. All that said: There is a 90% chance this also happens in Gainesville come October. LOL

 

The right thing to do if it happens would be announce it as an aftershow the week of Riot after Supernova

 

The aftershow element honestly might be okay with me, actually. Those don't announce until July/August or whenever... And TBH if you haven't booked travel for either of those festivals at that point you're not doing it right, anyway.
