yeah i am excited for Mercedes but nothing will top the opening minute or two of First Dance. Punk having an iconic theme he could bring with him was a huge component of that. i am hoping Mercedes gets something theatrical af

 

I'm curious to see if she uses her NJPW theme or if it's gonna be a new one

 

Rock is filming a movie from 5/1 through 8/1 so probably won’t see him again until closer to next year after mania

 

I'm sure he won't be playing the same character he plays in each one of his movies.

 

Idk I’m just not that stoked on Mercedes, I just feel like other Women deserve an opportunity.

 

Mercedes being there elevates the whole division and gives people opportunity

 

The women are getting an opportunity because of her, Athena, and Billie. Everyone is going to benefit from having her in AEW.

she's a terrible promo but capable of magic in the ring, a random match i always think about loving and tell myself ill revisit is that Sasha/Ronda title match at a Royal Rumble. a lot of people had their best matches w Sasha for a time

 

sorry i will eventually call her Mercedes it's just so much less economical

 

Her independent run she’s done has been really solid, I’m excited to see her back full time weekly

mercedes is awesome in ring, I know you are more of a WWE style guy and her mic skills leave more to be desired so no shade there but her coming to AEW gives them the platform to completely reshape and restructure the division with the addition of an undeniable top talent. whether they follow thru or not is completely on them. lots of great women on that roster who can be elevated by being in the ring with her or apart of her sphere, the chance at new tag titles being brought forth, etc. they've got 5 hours of tv time to fill and i'd hope that she wouldn't sign with AEW if there was not a contingency plan to elevate the entire division.
