It's also weird because I definitely have a weird affinity for exclusives because that's the industry in familiar with and as much as I hate big corporations I do want someone like Nintendo to do well because I truly do like so many of their games and franchises, but exclusives is really archaic in limiting. It made sense back in the day, but now that all machines are virtually just PCs (with the exception of Nintendo) it just seems a little odd.

 

I don't think you can ever stop piracy and it's just a reality of the media marketplace, but at the same time I think people need to be aware that every game that's pirated effectively just fucks over devs who are typically overworked and underpaid because when the profit numbers don't meet expectations these are the people who lose their jobs. Whether or not that's something that factors into your decision to pirate games is a discussion each person needs to have with their conscience.

anything that monolith soft gets their hands on (xenoblade, botw, tears) is going to be incredible. Nintendo needs to send them over to game freak tbh.

 

$2.4 million doesn't seem like much compared to what Nintendo has done in the past. Seems much more like a power play from Nintendo as a message/warning to other emulation companies.

 

If there's anything Nintendo knows about, it's playing with power.

For me the the Showtime demo was far too simple (and I personally love Kirby games, and don’t mind how easy they are) but my 3 daughters loved it. So it’ll still be a day one purchase. Interesting to hear it’s a Good Feel joint. The gameplay really felt Luigi’s Mansion 3, and I was convinced it was Next Level while playing it.

 

to be fair, the Yoshi games they made were also piss easy at first until they weren't.

The Mario tennis for GBC is sooooo good

 

Just so no one is confused, the GB games aren't on Switch online until 3/12

 

Something I am confused about is Nintendo's naming conventions for remakes because there's no consistency.

For Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars, the dropped the LOTSS for the remake and just called it Super Mario RPG. For Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon they're calling it Luigi's Mansion 2 HD because for other territories including Japan it was originally called Luigi's Mansion 2.

Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door just hasn't changed it's name at all so how do people know it's the new version when googling for it? Ocarina of Time on 3DS at least was called OOT 3D.

There's just no unity between their releases and it's weird to me.

 

TTYD is my game for may since I’ve never played the original but I have origami king however I’ve barely played that one either.

 

Mario Tennis on the GBC is in my top for favorite soundtracks ever, just an incredible game bathed in nostalgic joy.

 

GBC Mario Tennis and Golf were two of my absolute favorite games as a kid, it’s always been completely insane to me they never got proper sequels.

 

Man, Unicorn Overlord has me absolutely HOOKED
