Not counting any Shakespeare or plays in general, can anyone think of two roles that two separate actors have in common

So two separate characters that have both been played by the same two people? That would have to be incredibly rare.

Saorise Ronan and Katherine Hepburn both played Jo March in Little Women and Mary in Mary Queen of Scots (2013) and Mary of Scotland (1936). I’d think with superhero movies and historical films you could probably find a couple more

  7. i think oppenheimer should’ve ended with a shot of a bunch of japanese people being vaporized, then it would’ve been woke

That's cool, but I was hoping she would do another smaller film like a Ladybird before she went off to make another huge big budget franchise piece

I said some version of this when the news first dropped: I'm forcing myself to see this as the Little Women director doing another film based on a classic book, instead of a talented filmmaker following up Barbie with another "franchise."

This being "films" (plural) is less than ideal imo, and it being for Netflix outright sucks. But, I'm curious what she can accomplish with that source material. I adore everything she's made so far, and I think her strengths across those films could be just right for Narnia.

Chronicles of Narnia were my favorite books as a kid so I'm stoked

  12. I only read the Narnia books recently (and some of them are very weird). I can only assume Gerwig has some passion for the series and/or an interesting take on it. It's not like she can't do literally whatever she wants at this point in her career.

That scene has to have some sort of record for being the first breasts that kids see in their lives. My mom took us to see Titanic three times in theaters and it was so confusing.

Was that a big enough hit to warrant a sequel? I recall it doing fine, but nothing eye-popping.

It was shit but I think it was pretty popular when it came out. Plus the books are extremely popular even though they are also shit.
