The apartment they moved me in is so much warmer than my previous one and it sucks. This is going to be costing me so much more living here even tho my rent is a little less. Fucking ridiculous

That sucks :-/ you on a higher floor or something? I definitely feel that, I'm on the third floor and it retains so much heat. It's great in the winter though, I could count on my hand how many times I actually used my heat over the winter

No I’m on another side of the complex. I told them no stairs because I can’t carry heavy stuff up them. I rather freeze than overheat. I need the a/c where I live. And I can use blankets in the cold.

An 11 page resume is insane. You gotta trim that down.

  8. 11 pages is insane. Cover letters and resumes should be 1 page each, imo. Everything else can be discussed in the interview or added to your LinkedIn.

Resume should be one page. Two pages in rare circumstances.

1 page when starting out, but after you get many years of work experience it can be tough to cut everything down into 1 page that you need to convey

I like resumes longer than a page when they are longer because it's more accessible to read with bigger font and spacing. That can be hard to achieve on one page. But I absolutely don't even think I could get close to that many pages even if I tried lol. Even 1 job per page wouldn't be that long for me

This is exactly what I was taught in my business writing course in college for what it's worth. You got points deducted if your resume was larger than one page

Ideally your resume should match the job you’re applying for so you can tailor it to highlight stuff that relates to the job you’re applying for and make it one page.

Why do I always get stuck living next to people who blast the SAME shitty music!!?! This time the person lives next to me instead of behind me and it’s honestly the loudest out of all the people. So loud sometimes you can hear it from the parking lot. This makes it worse then living next door when I have to make a complaint to security. People have no respect.

First post in this thread, and I'm sure this has been said somewhere across the last 397 pages.

Poor etiquette in cinemas, theatres/performance venues from the audience.

Scrolling their phones, texting, talking to each other for no reason, not controlling their kids, etc.

Absolutely nothing more than 2 pages for a resume and recall something along the lines of, “resumes should only show the last 5-7 years of work” depending on the position. Last time I did a resume (end of 2023) I didn’t even bother putting anything from 2015 and older because it didn’t really apply and i personally wouldn’t give much of a shit what someone did 8+ years ago unless it really, really applied to the applied for position or was a super high level executive job.

I ordered curtains for my kitchen and it said they left Illinois a week ago and there have been no updates since. They probably will just show up and then they’ll update everything after bc that seems to always happen when it’s an order I’m really excited about!

I know it looks like I'm yelling but my brain is shouting so it's apt

Why. Why is this happening lol

My shower literally has no water pressure and I can’t fucking shower.

It's probay the shower head, you can remove a small piece inside of it to increase the pressure that's used to like save water. I do it literally every time I move cuz yeah who would want to take a shower like that. Just Google how to remove shower head flow restrictor

My coworker washes his hands like 4 times an hour (not joking) and leaves giant puddles of water all over the sink and floor.

I work with people who don’t pick up after themselves, don’t throw away empty toilet paper roll when the trash is literally next to the toilet, don’t put the tp on the holder, people who leave empty containers of supplies on the shelf instead of throwing it away. Like people knowingly make a mess and not clean it up

My clothes still smell after I wash them. I used a washing machine cleaner. Cleaned the gaskets and downy rinse and refresh fabric rinse. Nothing helps
