I skimmed through vultures. I skipped to random parts of each song and I always landed on lyrics that either do nothing for me or are outright terrible. This is why I haven’t fucked with most of Kanye’s music in years, even before he did all the bad shit, even if the beats were good. He’s not a good enough rapper to compensate.

I've gone back to Late Registration and Graduation maybe...two or three times in the past year or so, only when I really need it, and I wind up feeling worse when it's over. It doesn't help that "The Good Life" is the first song we played after I proposed to my wife.

I mean I’d rather him be a good person but I’m also glad he’s gotten as heinous as humanly possible because it made it very easy for me to not listen to this - literally not even an ounce of curiosity whereas even like two years ago I probably would have at least skimmed through it lol

 

I skimmed through it. I don’t like most of the production and he hasn’t had anything to say in his verses in a decade, so even if he weren’t what he is now I wouldn’t listen to it again.

 

Song is pretty good if you take him off the song

 

As a person who works with teens who live in the south, I can def say, this song and album has sort of a “we aren’t supposed to be listening to this so we want to listen to it” type of appeal for them.
