What a match. So exciting to see LIV go for it. Hope ARS took notes and does the same in a few weeks.

Relatively speaking, I think I actually survived captaining Solanke this week thanks to Son's haul. Next GW will be interesting to navigate with only 4 games.

I haven't even bothered to look at my points total this week. I don't need the numeric evidence.

That's a finish and a half from Isak. Chelsea have really let Newcastle come back into the game, they needed HT ideally.

Obviously, Howe didn't get the memo that Palmer likes to cut in from the left.

Fucking hell this has been a chore. Porto getting a player stretchered off for a cramp is an indicator of the type of game it has been.

    Extra time it is.

Pleasantly surprised we saw off Napoli. Expected a collapse.

Saarbrücken just kicked Gladbach out of the cup. That's the third Bundesliga team in a row that they beat, after Bayern and Frankfurt.

I think Raya needed a night like tonight to properly connect with the fans. I think he's comfortably cemented himself as #1 from the day he joined but the Ramsdale sized elephant in the room has probably stopped him from feeling the love as much as he should.

    He was fucking great tonight

Honestly still on a high. I’ve watched the shoot out a few times.

We weren’t brilliant. Porto are a nasty team to play, and they’re absolutely brilliant at what they do. They disrupted the game, made the most of all contact, made a lot of very niggly fouls, and were solid in defence. But when you come up against a team like them, you just need to find a way past it, and we did.

Raya, Ødegaard, and Rice all stepped up when others were struggling. And man, what a captain’s performance from Martin to be running about pressing in the 120th minute, make the crucial assist, and then choosing to personally take the first penalty.

Can’t decide if I want a massive team like Real Madrid, or an easier team like Dortmund/PSV. Maybe a big club in a bad moment is the best of both worlds, like Barcelona, PSG, or Bayern?
