It's such an amazing record, I really hope they do a 10-year anniversary tour because I only found the band after Kyle's feature on the last Caspian album and now I don't know how I ever lived without them.

What a great song. Yeah, a 10 year Keep You tour would be amazing. I haven't seen a full one of their sets since pre-Keep You. They played the first Wrecking Ball Fest in Atlanta around when it came out, and they got booked at the exact same time as PV-era Turnover, which were probably 1-2 on my favorite bands list at the time. I watched Turnover then caught the end of their set, which at least included Repine.

EDIT: Also can whatever algorithm is getting Title Fight, Superheaven, and Basement over 1.5m streams a month discover PBTT? They are at 44k right now, which is ridiculously low.

I need to revisit this. I liked it when it came out but rarely go back.

Man, do I really dislike the opener Out of Sight. Skip it almost every single time, just....yeah.

    post RADICAL

The "Am I losing you?" part of Out of Sight gives me the feels every time. It's interesting that it sets the tone of the album but the record concludes with lines like "And I'll carry you when either you carry or you don't". Good book ends of emotion with despair and then holding close the ones you love, no matter what.

Was listening to this band almost exclusively for a couple weeks. Love them so much. Keep You and The Lack Long After remain all-timers to me and Wait for Love is a great album as well that has gotten a lot of play from me lately

I like Drift, but it hasn’t held up as well for me over time. Still love Genevieve, Easy, The Days, and Pair, but the rest doesn’t hit those heights. Still, there’s a lot to enjoy about Drift and I love the vibe and atmosphere to the album. Easy to get sucked into the a 37-minute run time is perfect

I love Drift, but it's definitely a "downer" album for me and not something I think to throw on unless I'm in that kind of mood, or if I'm looking for a great headphone album to get lost in for a bit.

I also just listened to Wait for Love too, which is also way better than I remember. I could see a knock for it being Keep You pt. 2 and slightly less depressing, but I'm glad Dave figured out how to be creative and active on the kit again without the band having to ramp up on aggression.

I won't argue because I'm not a drummer, but his playing draws my attention in pre-Keep You and Wait for Love in a different way than how it does on Keep You. Maybe the argument is that he never overplays on Keep You and does exactly what the songs call for. One of my favorite drummers ever btw. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw him playing with Defeater at a festival last fall.

I can't decide if I like Keep You or Wait for Love better. Both are spectacular.

I absolutely love Drift but it's also a tough listen for the exact same reason. As someone who was part of going through fertility treatments for over a year, including several rounds of IVF, and experienced (albeit indirectly) more than a couple pregnancy losses before being able to start a family, it really hits home.

He was definitely a bit more reserved on Keep You than he was on Wait for Love, but I think some of the grooves he put down on that record are fantastic. Ripple Water Shine, Old Jaw, Enamor Me, and Traces immediately come to mind as some really tight and creative ideas that he recorded.

Keep You came out at the perfect time for me. There arent many albums I feel more attached to.

Wait For Love on the other hand is one of those albums that I just can't get into and I can't put my finger on why. I want to like it and I feel like I should but I just don't.

Wait For Love is a perfect album for this time of year as winter is ending and we're coming into spring.

I really wish I connected with modern emo-adjacent bands the way I did with the bands from late 2000s/early 2010s. PBTT, Balance and Composure, Hotelier, Title Fight, Joyce Manor, La Dispute, Citizen, Touche Amore, TWIABP, Tigers Jaw, Prawn, Foxing, Turnover, etc. I know most of these bands are still active to some degree, but I can't remember the last time I discovered a band that would fall in line with what these guys were playing.
