i could see a small handful of one-off events over the next few years, but not a full tour. Trent and Atticus are nearly 60, Trent has 5 kids, they're busy with score work, etc. don't think NIN is permanently done, but it's definitely lower priority given Trent's previous comments.

I feel like the day will come when NIN is officially done but I don’t think we’re quite there yet and I do think we will know definitively when that day has come. I think Trent will want to give the band as a live-entity, in particular, a proper send-off, as he did with the Wave Goodbye tour before.

Slim chance I agree but wouldn’t shock me to see like 4-5 shows in LA and/or Cleveland

Highly doubt this. Festivals will continue to be a thing they do on occasion but I agree with others - he will want to do a proper send off for the band. Not likely to be a large tour but hit major festivals for a year and then call it.

They did a proper send off, the hometown Cleveland show a few years back. He brought back members from the PHM and TDS eras for the guest spots, it felt very much like a final show.

They played another show a few weeks after the HOF show, not that it negates your point entirely but I wouldn’t use the HOF show as proof it’s done. Trent felt like they weren’t able to fully embrace the RNRHOF induction so they just did it themselves.

I think nine inch nails ‘tours’ again, and they most certainly will play festivals. Touring doesn’t mean months, it means weeks. Everything is just reduced, but I don’t think he’ll ever shut those doors ~completely~ again. Hell, he was only away for three years after Wave Goodbye.

The Rick Rubin podcast episode/quotes get new life every month it seems (though it’s almost a year old), even with Trent saying nothing since. I’m not saying he’s going to release a record and a tour map tomorrow. But I wouldn’t be shocked.

    Die rad.

Luckily Ive seen NIN live atleast 6 times in the past 15 years and they are one band I will never skip if they are in the area. Only downside to their live shows is setlist length. For a band with so much material they need to play for more than an hour and a half. Deeper cuts. Pearl Jam play for 3+ hours. At least give me 2.5 hours Trent. I remember seeing them at Webster Hall in NYC in like 2017 and it was such a small intimate last minute show. It was announced day of show and sold out in a minute. I grabbed a ticket and left work half a day to hop on train. Best decision ever.

I got to see them one time (Primavera LA 2022) so I’m happy with that at least. Hope I get another chance though. Luckily the set they played was pretty perfect for a first time show of theirs

I've got two shows under my belt, Lights in the Sky and Tension tours. Both were amazing experiences, but lights in the sky was the best show I've ever seen. The only tour I've seen since then that could even compare to the production was Taylor's Eras.

I saw them on the NINJA tour when I was in like 10th grade, and it was an incredible show, but I would absolutely love a chance to see them again (and also for my partner to be able to for the first time). as much as I loved them then, I only love them more so now, and I think it would be nice to have some proper closure if it were to be a final tour or something.

Three NIN shows, one HTDA show.

I’ve been on the rail for all three NIN shows, and I can’t tell you how much it was worth the waiting in line those days.

I’d love a longer set, obviously. But I don’t think they can keep up THAT intensity for more than 90 minutes MAYBE 2 hours on the rarest of occasions. I don’t know if they’ve ever played that long, maybe the final Wave Goodbye dates?

We all know that Trent has a very liberal definition of "soon".
