Watching Ospreay on the post-scrum right now. I know there were once character concerns, but he seems to have genuinely grown up and become a real decent guy.

After that match, seeing his presentation, hearing the crowd, and listening to him talk in this thing, I think AEW just needs to get in the Ospreay business. All in, pun intended. Make him your Cody Rhodes. He should be the guy.

 

The arc that Ospreay has gone on since his younger days is truly insane. Used to loathe that dude and now he’s easily one of my favorites.

 

I hope this stuff with Callis and Ospreay doesn't go on for too long. It'll only be okay if we get 5 more Takeshita/Ospreay matches out of it

 

Insane that it's already been 7 years since his and Ricochet's Super Juniors match that killed the sport of professional wrestling.

 

I was watching with my friend (that doesn't watch regularly, just kinda keeps up via twitter and we've gone to a few live shows the last few months) and I remembered showing him that Super Juniors match. He hadn't seen an Ospreay match since then and last night he was like "this is like an entirely different type of wrestling than I've ever seen" lol

 

Find someone who runs to hug you like Willow does.

 

I assume Mark Davis is returning shortly based on that post-match hug/hand-sign. Wouldnt be surprised if they do it at Dynamite

 

I agree with those lamenting the Ospreay/Callis pairing. I think it's pretty imperative that they separate those two as quickly as possible. They're really just a detriment to each other.

Not to mention, being in a faction in AEW is kind of like a death rattle for creative relevance. Even the best stables there feel directionless the majority of the time. Let Ospreay go out on his own.

 

Callis needs to go away for a while in general, he was at his best when the connections to the dudes he was feuding w felt genuine. he is an effective manager but i really don't think he needs to be a persistent presence on tv

 

I have fallen off watching, but just from Twitter this might be my favourite AEW faction lol

 

I rarely watch AEW these days. Barely have time for WWE tbh. But just watched the Sting match and man, that dumb glass ladder bump aside, that was so good and nearly teared up at the end too. Great fucking end to a career, that.

 

Props to that dude in the crowd dressed as David Arquette's gimmick in Ready To Rumble

Man i'm gonna miss sting. Hope he stays on in some capacity (backstage?) or makes a sporadic apperance here or there. What a legend. He also should be #2 in the aew hof (after mr brodie lee)
