i am very happy w how they booked Joe/Hangman/Swerve. i can't imagine how those two are going to top all they have done

one more Sting thing: dude was adamant he didn't want a singles match and proved in that match he had one more very good one in him. just didn't need the glory. hell ya

 

Truly amazing show, and genuinely the best retirement they could’ve done for Sting. The way AEW has handled his last part of his career was something to behold. Glad he got to go out on his terms, in one of the most insane matches. Sting forever

 

This Hangman/Swerve feud is an AEW all timer and I cannot wait to see what insane shit they do in their next match

 

It also shouldn't surprise anyone that a retirement match would be a strength of TK's booking. Dude is so enamored by the business there was no chance that wasn't gonna be a crazy nostalgia-fest.

 

i think once Flair got involved w the whole thing ppl were right to feel hesitant but even he was used in the right capacity if he had to be used (tonight at least)

Probably. As far as I understand his story, Darby is a jackass/extreme stunt dude who happened to fall into wrestling. I think he eventually turns his attentions elsewhere

Kurt’s body was so far gone that’s there’s not a single opponent that could’ve given him a “good” final match

The only way we were getting a good Kurt match was if he brought back Perc Angle

 

really great PPV but they should have swapped the Not-Meat-Madness match with Skye/Julia v Willow/Stat
