I watched the whole thing. I thought there was some good stuff in there but also a good deal of cringier stuff. Could’ve used a good edit.

He does fully explain the conversation he and Cody supposedly had, and what he said to him in the ring on Smackdown to try to make sense of it. Also acknowledges that Cody won the Rumble and earned the right to face Roman. So, he corrected what I thought was kind of an issue with his Smackdown promo.

Cody’s response is excellent.

I think they ended up in a good spot here, despite the clunky road. The tag match, with stakes, is a good feeler for Rock. Also playing up a little tension between Rock and Roman and trying to re-establish some of the juice that story had before they screwed things up.

And, as an added bonus, having Rock acknowledge Roman felt like a big deal because Reigns definitely felt like he got big footed a little bit in recent months.

I’m glad they didn’t go so far as to put Cody’s match on the line. That would’ve been a bridge too far.

Killer Kelly coming out to Tear You Apart is the perfect pairing for a wrestler.

 

Bayley was a step ahead of the initial heel turn but fell for that telegraphed betrayal.

 

Obviously Dakota turning could be seen coming from a mile away, but, I kind of was hoping they just subverted expectations and actually had her be sincere. Just kind of a paint by numbers dumb babyface falling for the ruse.

I’m sure Bayley and Iyo will be good but man, it’s definitely gonna feel like an undercard program.

 

WWE is to blame for underhyping that match. It's not getting the spotlight it deserves

I think I've only seen a few of her matches, but she can fucking go. Really liked her match with Mercedes in the NJPW Strong tournament.
