I won't squawk too much about paying $24.99 for 9-10 shows per year, but there's no way I'd pay the full $50 if, for some reason, the VPN/Fite.TV method dries up.

I really do hope they find a home on Max before too long.

Honestly ever since wwe went to the network and peacock it changed my life on how I watch wrestling, I could never justify spending 50 bucks ever again on a ppv

Yeah. I didn’t mind it so much in the very beginning when they were just starting up and there were only 4 events, but the expansion puts a strain if you’re already paying a hefty price for cable (well, YouTube TV) for just wrestling and football, like me.

It’s why I don’t mind the ever so slight inconvenience of the VPN route. Not to mention, FITE is much better than BR anyway.

Nope. I pay $50 for every AEW PPV and $80 for every UFC PPV. As someone who doesn’t drink/smoke or go out a ton, it’s how I spend some of my extra money.

yeah no shade to those saving their money, totally get it. but I spent a while making sure I had a dope set up in my living room and after I stopped watching wrestling in like 2017ish and came back in 2022, i've abandoned my past ways of rigging the HDMI cable to my tv lol. as a kid who never got to see ppv's live bc we were hella poor it feels good to be able to have expendable income and not worry about it when I wanna watch a big show.

Same here. I definitely had my days of finding streams and different ways to watch, but it’s nice to not have to mess with my computer and different connections. The only thing I wish is that AEW had a different app than BR Live to buy the shows.

Like someone said earlier, WWE network set the standard for what PPVs are worth for a lot of people. It’s hard to go back to paying 50-80 for any company’s ppv when I’ve spent the last 10 years paying $10 or less now. Personally I probably wouldn’t even spend $30. But I’ll gladly pay 10-15 for a subscription that gets me PPVs and maybe even some bonus content. Even if the PPVs aren’t monthly. Just an easier pill to swallow.

Speaking of PPVs, do we know what the future of WWE ones are once they move to Netflix and all that? Because if they start charging separately I guess I’ll be living through gifs and recaps

Even though I’m definitely in the VPN/Fite camp, I relate to most of this pretty hard. Despite my family being adequately middle class growing up, PPVs were absolutely a once in a blue moon type deal. We didn’t even have the special PPV box, so we’d have to rent one in addition to the cost of the event itself.

I’ve invested a lot of money in my living room set up now as an adult, too, and the simple idea of being just…able to order a PPV when I want it is pretty damn cool.

In the US, they’ll remain on Peacock until at least 2026 when their deal is up. The expectation is that they’ll migrate all content to Netflix at that time, but it’s not a confirmed thing.

internationally, the Network will shut down and everything will go to Netflix as soon as that deal begins.

Saw earlier you went with the the big boy version. I’m still debating on that or the deluxe. Gonna try to find some discounted Xbox cards before then to soften the blow either way.

if youve got something like a Sam's Club or Costco membership they're almost always 5% off or so that way w the occasional bigger cut.

i regret getting the biggest one cause the 20 bucks diff is a whole other game and the early access is cool in theory but i work during the week as people do lol. might fight w a microsoft chatbot to knock me down to deluxe

Yeah, I'll likely grab a $100 from Costco - they're $89.99 right now. I’ve had luck in the past scoring larger discounts on sites like Eneba, but there’s nothing of note there right now.

I think the only thing that really intrigued me about the big one is the Mania 40 arena, but like, I don't know if it's worth $20 more to me (plus it'll probably show up available later.)

Also, you still get the early access with the regular deluxe, too!
