i have been such a good focused boi financially the last couple years and on March 14th i begin onboarding for a milestone raise that covid and civil service sleaziness delayed by over three entire years for me and I'm so ready to go to some goddamn wrestling shows again

 

The Sting part was awesome. I just didn’t understand the sequence of events for that whole segment lol but that’s always my take when a guy’s friend waits forever to come help lol

 

Also, those Flair strikes were hilarious

 

As soon as he didn’t jump in and help Darby I knew there was a chance we were getting the rafter drop. Can’t believe that just happened he hadn’t done it at all since Owen, right?

 

Not to go all William Regal on the segment, but, Darby getting his butt kicked is actually the trap to let Sting sneak in on them. Its like the 1 instance I can think of (aside from when they show a locker room barracaded or a faction member laid out, so they physically cant help) where it actually fit kayfabe...and Darby would 100% be fine with taking a beating to let Sting lay them out

They said this episode they are going to use Ottman's involvement and the fact Tenta was also in WCW this era as an excuse to finally talk about Shockmaster on DSOTR.

 

Just watching it back.. I know my home arena is fucking Duluth, GA but HUNTSVILLE ALABAMA got the (presumably) last ever Sting rafter drop???

 

Probably one of their smallest crowds too lol

Sting from the rafters took me all the way back to being 8 years old and falling in love with pro wrestling. Thank you Sting. Possibly the best to ever do it.

need you to know that originally i did read this post as Sting descending from the rafters while physically holding Martha Hart lmao

 

Sting is what got me into wrestling back in 1997. Credits to my cousins though since they kept talking about this cool guy in facepaint that carried a baseball bat. I thought to myself man I have to watch this

 

It really makes me sad his match with Hogan at Starcade was such a flop

 

Yeah and they got ospreay’s second appearance as an AEW-signed wrestler lol. Big card for that market.

 

What actually is the difference? I've never looked to closely to notice.
