    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

It only didn’t work because they overshot demand and put it in venues far too large. The lineup itself wasn’t too bad, and getting TBS was a good move, but that was not gonna fill 10,000 cap amps

I’ve seen those headliners a ton over the last decade, so at this point i’d rather see all of that lineup in one day rather than have to pay $30-$40 per headliner

Genuinely surprised they didn’t branch out even a little bit or reach for a big get.

Is opening for Third Eye Blind that much more lucrative for Yellowcard than headlining SS? Did they even call Dashboard Confessional?

Or if they wanted to go younger, why not book bands like Electric Callboy, Scowl, Millington, Driveways? If warped tour were around today those would be the bands of the next generation.

it’s like they’re stuck booking the exact same 12-15 bands every year to the exact same audience and that audience is shrinking rather than growing.

I’m the opposite. Younger me would love a warped tour like 30-40 min set from these bands playing all the hits. Older me wants headliners with deep cuts.

I'm just slightly too old for the majority of Sad Summer (turned 40 in Nov) so have never had any interest. That being said, even from an outsiders point of view, seems to really cater to the audience that came of age in 07-11 and has not moved past that.

It’s just odd because TWY has done two headliners in a row, The Maine was on last year/just did a headliner/is opening for FOB currently, RF/KP have done two coheadliners in a row with each other. Mayday/WTK tour constantly and only draw well off nostalgia. Definitely the most generic lineup you could think of.

I'll see the Wonder Years with any lineup, and I don't dislike any of those other bands, but it's not a particularly exciting lineup. It'll be fun to see Knuckle Puck again, and high school me would've been pumped about We the Kings.

It’s a cool 4k-6k outdoor summer tour that only does like 15 shows in four weeks. I think people see it bigger than what it is and what it needs to be.

exact same - pop punk 07-2018 is one of my least favorite genres so these conversations go right over my head. but im glad it exists because its one of the bigger genres repped at things like riot fest, so it makes it easy when theres like an entire stage i dont even have to stop at, haha

Ticketmaster says there’s a SoCo fan club presale tomorrow. Has anyone seen a code yet?

Sad summer lineup is the most uninteresting lineup possible. TWY and The Maine will be a good time but I’m so sick of seeing KP/RF/Mayday

Sad Summer is missing a band to seal the deal. Like all of these bands tour often enough that I don't feel like I need to attend, but it will still be a fun time if the dates line up right.

I think another poster had a good point - Sad Summer is a pretty small tour in the scheme of things, ~15 dates over ~3 weeks. It can probably keep chugging along in its current state well enough, it'll turn a nice profit but nothing groundbreaking. They could maybe take a risk and go with a bigger tour and a multi stage set up (eg, a mini Warped Tour), but there's also a chance that just blows up in their face.

Bring back scream it like you mean it or all star tour. There's still really not a tour each year that's primarily emo/ post hardcore bands.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

The Wonder Years and The Maine obviously will rock, and I still love seeing Mayday Parade because they still sound great, everything else doesn't do much for me. I'll still go and watch but it'll be a more inactive walk around and socialize Sad Summer than in years' past.

If they brought taste of chaos back I feel like it would do really well now in today's nostalgia market. Much better then it did in 2016
