Anybody play the new Deep Rock Survivors? I want someone to tell me its bad so I don't have FOMO. The first person games are fun but this just looks incredible. Bahhhhhh.

 

Player's Log: Trails Of Cold Steel IV.

I'm back on my Trails bullshit again, after taking a bit of a break.

I finally ran down the list of bonding achievements, still disappointed there is no harem option. Love that the Towa one is a bunch of short jokes.

Now I'm officially in the final chapter, which is relatively meaty, so I don't know if I'll finish it tomorrow or not. But I'm game to try.

If I do, then it's Reverie time!

 

joined my family fortnite party and I didn’t even speak I just put rush’s song Tom Sawyer like I was in iron claw or something and they kicked me lmao

 

Well I got my first Xbox ever for my birthday lol, been a PS person my whole life. Kinda cool to have all three current systems now

I already bought the Master Chief collection because I've always wanted to play through the Halo games, and got Starfield too. Are there any collections or anything of Gears of War?

 

You should probably just get GamePass and try stuff out

 

Yeah Game Pass is so good for basically most, if not all, of the first party stuff on Xbox.

 

Risk of Rain was one of my favorite games and I still haven’t played 2. It’s been on my list since it launched but whenever it comes time to buy a new game I seem to forget it exists ugh

 

Pacific Drive is great so far.

 

I've been enjoying it a lot. did have a bug that ruined a difficult mission, but otherwise enjoying every moment.

 

The word "crafting" is turn off for me for some reason. But the trailer looks very cool.
Going to watch the Skill Up review later today.

 

I’m worried about the game crashing but otherwise I kind of love that you can’t save mid-run, although it’s definitely going to limit when I can sit down to play a mission.

It’s such an immersive game and I already feel attached to my vehicle lol

 

I've had some big frame rate drops during moments (just when doing a boost jump off a truck lol it's a rare thing but you can do it).

It does technically save in a way mid-run whether you want it to or not. Like after I experienced the bug, I closed the game to resume from my save and it overwrote my save (it's weird and I'm not a fan) but put me back in mid-mission (likely largely happened because I had loaded into a new area as the mission required going a few places).

 

I’ve had weird frame rate drops just doing basic things, like using the impact hammer. Nothing major but it’s jarring when it happens.

I saw a boulder and because the logbook indicated it would boost the car off the ramp, I thought that might apply to people too so I walked into it hoping it would send me flying. It did not.

 

Just got win #4 in Balatro!

 

Gotta go ahead and preorder. I played on PS+ but I’d like to have a remake copy if it ever gets removed from the service.

 

Damn the Unicorn Overlord demo timer ran out when I wasn't paying attention

Oh well gives me time to beat Sophie 2 before the full game releases

Got my 8BitDo yesterday. The stock switches were way better than I anticipated, but since I had already ordered Gateron Oil Kings to go along with it, I swapped out all the standard keys with them. It’s sooooo nice and a great first keyboard experience.

The big red buttons are currently set as volume down and volume up.

The power LED is super cool.

I want to play that universal studios Minecraft little expansion with my cousins. Do they need to get it also or can I just be the only one and we all play on mine after I pay for it?

 

Jumped back into Hades for a bit and had some good runs. First run I stole some money from Charon and fought him(!) didn’t even know that was possible. He was hard af.

Then my second run I got up to Hades but he spanked me.

 

Just finished both parts of the demo. Unreal upgrades in every aspect compared to part one.

had no idea that item crafting?!?!? was a thing in rebirth.
