When she released prerelease singles, they routinely got dumped on and people melted down about how the album was going to suck. Then she started releasing her albums without doing that and all those "lead" singles went to number 1 anyway. With Midnights, she followed this model and got her biggest hit in years. So really, what is the benefit of her putting out a song two months in advance?

 

The two Beyoncé singles I heard were both awful so maybe Taylor hasn’t released anything so as not to rub it in

 

I do think she's tried to respect other artists release dates. Not singles that I recall she moved the Red re-release for Adele. But maybe I invented that reason?

"Me" is such a piece of shit. Really remarkable how bad it is, considering her track record. I know I've said this before, but I don't think it can be overstated how much of a turd that song is.

 

i forgot, has she performed it during The Eras Tour at all? i know it's not in the main set, but didn't know about the surprise songs

honestly there's a decent amount so I'm not going to list them all. I think just looking at lead singles though I'd much rather listen to "Me" than "Look What You Made Me Do".

 

I have a new appreciation for Look What You Made Me Do after seeing it on the Eras tour. Reputation is near the bottom of my ranking but honestly the Rep set was probably my favorite part of the show

 

the worst part about Me is that getting rid of hey kids spelling is fun was a coward's move , if you're gonna make Trolls soundtrack music own it

My least fave taylor song has always had Speak Now as a contender except the melody is at least fun even if the lyrics are unhinged. My bottom 3 is prob speak now, me, and starlight (I'm not sorry about it)
