I feel like it’s really easy to just give a response like this. You can feel grateful that this man made you a millionaire 50x over and looked out for you but the situation is still awful and sick.

I get that is the go to loyal wwe top guy response but, holy shit that corporate "I love the guy. I'm loyal to my friend. It's a real hard situation though" isn't how you talk about someone accused of sex trafficking and covering up rapes.

You're honestly better off just saying "I'd rather not comment at this time" than to play the company man with it.

Cena's comments are bad. I get that it's complicated with personal relationships, and I've never personally been friends with a serial sexual abuser or something akin to that, but the accusations against Vince are things that...exceed the parameters of loyalty and friendship.

It's one thing to respond the way Cena did if we're just learning that Vince had an alleged affair or something, but this is not that. Yikes.

 

The thing is Cena didn’t even show any signs of disgust in his comments.

 

Isn't he also some kind of Chinese politics apologist? This kinda fits right in

 

I don't know if he's ever really spoken about the Chinese government, but he very much pushed for WWE to break into China and learned Mandarin to do so. it failed horribly

 

He accidentally referred to Taiwan as being a country and not a part of China, and he apologized in Mandarin because he didn't want to fuck up the Chinese market. I would say he is more of opportunist than an apologist. He didn't want to fuck up the package.
