The rock has become the big brother so fast Roman feels like an afterthought and the match should now be rock/cody

 

It’s wild to see what a after thought Jimmy is now compared to Jey

 

Kind of rightfully so, Jey was an MVP during that time. But now even he’s cooled off even though they are trying to find things for him. Jey should have finished the story dammit

 

The Rocks “logic” has to be intentional. Especially since he used that word specifically.

 

Rock going full heel is definitely nice to see again.

 

I understand they had to pivot, but the whole thing is still a little convoluted. They still have a lot of time, tho.

 

I agree, I still think Jey can be a legitimate star. He’s fun.

 

i didn't love the promo but i think they are going with the mentality that they have some magic to stretch out, to most everyone The Rock turned heel before last night, but last night was like the canonical turn. i didn't love it but the crowd before during and after at least showed it worked

 

Turning heel because the crowd rejected you as a baby face is usually not good. But they do have time to smooth it out.

 

What? That’s literally what started Rock’s rise as a star

 

I was gonna say if we never got Nation Rock his career could’ve easily floundered

 

Ok but that is completely different than what’s happening now lol they brought him back fully expecting massive cheers and approval. He’s a legendary star unexpectedly being booed out of his storyline.

 

He was being booed as a face in the early 90s.

 

Ok, so then what are you comparing it to? The one that comes to mind is Batista in 2014 which turned out incredibly well - DB had his mania moment, which then restarted Evolution, and then Batista put The Shield over incredibly hard

 

Idk it’s still messy but like I said during the press conference it still works in a weird way

 

That run really made me appreciate Batista more.

Yeah, I suppose there are examples of them salvaging it. I don’t know. I just hate everything they’re doing with Reigns/Cody/Rock. Everything surrounding this story since last elimination chamber has just fell completely flat for me. And it just goes back to me thinking Cody is insanely boring lol

 

The EC match will be awesome though. So I’ll watch for that at least.
