I do always enjoy people's theories on this. Kurt Cobain/suicide awareness, video games, the mid-late 90s being peak civilization in the US, the last of the kids raised with lead in gasoline making it to adulthood, the assault weapons ban, etc.

 

Amazon getting in on the lawsuit to delegitimize the NLRB. 100% going to be a trial balloon for the FDA, EPA, etc etc

 

I guess I really shouldn't be surprised, but I am disappointed, as I liked his music once upon a time. It makes me ill to think so many prominent Jewish people can actually think like this.

I've read articles, more recently, about David Draiman pledging support for Israel, and his case I'm more inclined to believe it's ignorance at play rather than actual bigotry toward Palestinians, but it's still disheartening.

 

I know it's not new, but referring to it as "end of watch" is so fucking dystopian.

Have y'all noticed a shift recently in conservatives that they no longer believe in weather forecasts either and complain that they're always wrong and those people predicting them shouldn't have jobs. Maybe it's just me, but this has come up multiple times recently with people I've talked to and it's hilarious. Obviously seems tied to the anti-vax / anti-science stuff.

 

I was so confused when I went to visit my mom a couple years ago and all the streetlights were purple.

 

In 1994 we got Smash, Dookie, and the Blue album. Not sure anyone could be depressed that year.
