It’s ok, the hooks for these singles feel lacking in comparison to anything from the last record

Idk, this hook is pretty dope, the production is really great, those synths in the chorus rule.

the extended version is def superior.

I love that she’s putting out extended versions of these. Really lets the songs breathe and adds layers to them. Wish more pop artists would do that.

Really like it, more than “Houdini” tbh

I think I like it more as well, though both are still good not great for me, missing a certain wow factor. Still hopeful for the album

Had a feeling Kevin Parker was involved after hearing it. Good song.

that synth line in the bridge of Houdini pushes it just above Training Season for me, but i enjoy both

Really like both songs, but love the extended versions. Hopefully there’s some album cuts that are given some more breathing room

I like both songs but they’re not undeniable, run-em-back singles the way “Don’t Stop Now” was for me. Her label must be freaking out.

Is it that these songs are not as thick of pastiche? Because I agree. But I think of Don’t Stop Now and I think it’s just a full on disco track, whereas these new ones occupy several spaces and don’t have clear intentions, imo

I think the hooks aren't as good and the dance beats don't knock as hard.

  24. ... the songs are doing extremely well? "Houdini" is at its highest peak yet on top 40. Pushing 100m YT views on the official video.

The label is making bank on this.
