My girlfriend doesn't like it at all but respects/enjoys that it's something I love. I've dragged her to a few shows, because generally I find people who don't like it will still get some fun out of the live experience. She doesn't mind it, but would never actively spend money to go, so it just means I have to pay double if I want her there, haha.

The tradeoff for my weekly wrestling commitment is I have to watch the Bachelor franchise with her. I've since turned that into my own little thing where I look up spoilers before a season starts and then I watch the show from a meta perspective, trying to understand how they frame the winners in the early episodes, etc.

 

I got my girlfriend into it and now I feel like she's a little more into it that me, she now sending me flyers for indie shows and stuff like that, she took me to a GCW show because she wanted to see a barbed wire explosion deathmatch in person, it's awesome.

 

According to Fightful Select QT Marshall is rejoining AEW.

Pretty great. Wrestling and 2000s pop punk were what my wife and I bonded over early on so getting to nerd out on that stuff in ways I’ve never been able to has been awesome.

 

I’d rather have QT Marshall back than jangle mans jack jerry tbh

one of the first "dates" my wife and i went on was to an ROH show in fall 2017, because a friend of mine couldn't make it. I think she had an ok time but has not been back to a live show since

wednesdays are usually "alright I'll stay in the room with you but I'm going to put in headphones and listen to a book" from her lol

here's the card on cagematch but I don't think it's totally correct. I know Joey Ryan and Kikutaro were on the show, I don't recall seeing Jay Briscoe

 

QT was well-liked backstage and apparently did a good job with the backstage stuff back when he was there. Good. Just make sure he stays off my screen.

My GF doesn’t like wrestling, but will watch it to make fun/tease me. However, she loves Dark Side of the Ring and loved Iron Claw. She likes the stories behind the people and at least understands why I’m a fan. That’s enough for me haha

You taking Kenny or Bryan for best of our generation?

 

I love Bryan, but I feel like he peaked in 2014 and really hasn't done anything of that caliber in about a decade (reasonable because his injury). His height in terms of in ring work was the late 2000's, almost 20 years ago.

Omega on the otherhand has been consistently putting out the best in ring work in the world post-2014

 

There are at least 5 Bryan matches in AEW that are better than anything in his WWE run
