Daughter - Stereo Mind Game (April 7th, 2023) • Page 5

  1. Same, though I’ve never seen them. I almost saw them in 2016 but didn’t because all of my friends were going to the Underoath reunion tour when they played TOCS and DTGL in full, which was the same night. I still regret that

Caught them a couple times with The National in 2014 (fuck, that was so long ago) and then 2016 on their own.

Yep, saw them open for the National and then 2016 at the Metro and they were incredible. Stereo Mind Game was my favorite 2023 album I want to see those songs live so bad lol

    It's something, I guess.

  7. Very cool

What's everyone's favorite song by them/Ex:Re? I'm submitting "No Care" in one of the Music Leagues I'm in (not the one on this site lol) and I think it has the best chance of landing because of its urgency, which is why it's always felt like an outlier to me, but I'm curious to hear other opinions. "The Dazzler" would likely be my second choice, but I think it's a little slow for the audience I'm going for. "Numbers" and "How" are both up there.

Off the top of my head it’s either Fossa or Tomorrow

  10. Human, How, Mothers, Fossa, Made of Stone, Party, and Future Lover are all top 10 secured. Could probably fill out the last three with Alone/With You, New Ways, and To Rage, but that might change depending on the day

Party is definitely up there for me too. I think it was my most played song last year.

  13. Just a female vocalists round. I'm running through the discog to make sure "No Care" is the one. Kind of shocked no one else in here has reiterated the love for that one

Made of Stone is absolutely it for me.

    Got a light?

It’s snowing here and that video came at the right time, gorgeous performance and that transition at the end was stellar

I forgot about this record. Did they ever tour on this?

  17. They didn’t, which sounds like it’s why they’ve done this live thing

Not touring is a scary sign for their future, hoping they don’t disappear entirely. I will happily wait 7 years between records if that’s what it takes lol

I remember posts from late 2019 like the one below saying they were working on an album and then they announced summer dates for 2020 which obviously didn't happen. So, for the album to have come out last year when it may have been finished since all the way back then... I selfishly hope maybe they've made another album and are waiting to tour once that comes out. Or.... they might have just taken it easy throughout covid like most other people lol

Numbers and alone / with you off the top of my head. How to Disappear is definitely my favorite album from them

I absolutely adore the live versions of Shallows:

But straight up favorite song is tough, probably either Be On Your Way, Party, Youth, Numbers, or Fossa lol. I also love a hole in the earth from the soundtrack they did, and as far as Ex:Re goes probably the dazzler or the 12 Ensemble version of Where the Time Went

    The rivalry is back on

No order but my top 4 would be Youth, Numbers, No Care, and Swim Back
