I swore I just read that he is no longer involved with the band.

I would also sell my legacy for 10 million.

I feel like FOB is a lock but I could be wrong.

Definitely a bummer about No Doubt but I don't think that puts Lolla/Riot off the table for next year

He’ll no longer be after this year. From my understanding, once SWR performs all previously-booked shows/obligations, then they are no more

The fact that there was $10 million on the table and the "discussion with bandmates dragged out longer than expected as talks delved into band business outside of the reunion" is probably exactly why. From what I've heard, Adrian and Tony have virtually no relationship with Gwen anymore and are still feeling a little hurt/raw about how things ended.

Weirdly, I think the fact that it's only happening at Coachella is what is making it feel like much less of a huge deal in the grand scheme of things.

I didn't even notice that on the Orlando poster, hah! That one is just Sublime as well. My brain has just taken to autocorrecting "with Rome" to just "Sublime," anyway apparently.

Makes me wonder if Riot booked them. And if so, was it as Sublime with Rome or just Sublime? LOL. Funny how removing two words from the band's name would probably increase the cost substantially.

Oh for sure. I was under the impression that Tom, Tony and Adrian weren’t in touch with Gwen at all the past decade or so and that was a huge factor for the reunion. The three of them seem like close buds still, but their relationship with Gwen is a different story.

That being said, I do kind of hope that this Coachella reunion lights a fire under their butt and they end up doing more shows next year. I mean, it’ll be the 30th anniversary of a particular album and the demand is clearly there

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

Honestly, Sum 41 and Something Corporate are already enough for me to consider returning.

I doubt it, but give me Emery please

Hey, there’s no Chicago date on the tour they just announced, I’d say there’s a chance.

Also weird there’s a Birmingham date? They seemed like a shoo-in for Furnace Fest

They very rarely play Chicago as it is, but even with the dates lining up I'm expecting them to do a Joliet date or hit the WC Social or something. Don't know why but for some reason I can't picture them on Riot, even though I want it.

  11. Would happily see Emery and The Almost at Riot if the schedule worked out. Won't be the same without the Cornerstone Festival dust though.

  13. I was somewhere last summer, can't even remember where, and walked through a cloud of dust that smelled exactly like Cornerstone farm and it was the most visceral memory trigger I've ever had.

The Strokes announced a benefit show in Chicago next month, so they’re likely out

Eh, it's six months out from the festival, it'd be fine. But I don't see them doing much this year.

I would be surprised if Emery play Riot. I'm going to Milwaukee to see that tour, it's too good for me to take a chance on.

The Strokes could still play. Dua Lipa played the United Center in March of 2022 and then came back five months later and headlined Lollapalooza.

The Almost could work out perfect if UnderOath is there too! A couple of easy, but fun, album plays for RF to check off.

John F from TMBG said that they’ll be playing some Midwest spring dates this year. Full dates aren’t announced yet, but I’d assume they’re out

Apparently Incubus is announcing a Morning View tour with Coheed as the opener that has at least one date in early September.

This tour announcement is probably one to keep an eye on! That would be a decent album play (and a strong Radical/Rise closer or direct main stage support potentially).
