Meltz saying the Ricochet/Paul breaking ranks online is an angle. I mean he has a point

I was just asking because the first tweet that was posted in here followed by the Japanese one made it seem like maybe it was a scandal. Granted I didn’t translate the Japanese one

With how quickly Tony tweeted, this is probably why Giulia to AEW was never a possibility. Not that they weren’t interested, but was aware what was going on behind the scenes with Rossy/WWE.

I wonder if Tony’s big announcement has to do with Stardom. With Mariah May and Megan Bayne being signed recently it wouldn’t surprised me if they had some sort of deal going on.

Yeah, the japanese one is basically a repeat of the first one; similar vibe as when Tanahashi became head of NJPW (not surprising since its the same company).

I just know that WWE tried to buy Stardom in 2019, HHH has always been huge on an NXT Japan type thing, and if SRS is hinting he's going to WWE, its easy to connect those pieces. Especially with Io, Asuka, and Kairi's return.

I assumed Giulia but it said man and was a Japanese proverb

I wonder if its gonna end up being as simple as Vince being gone meant he saw an opening in the US market, and then Gulia was the ticket in (obviously with Io already there and Kairi returning at the same time too).

Really think there's a market for something with Netflix, especially the way Stardom ran, and GLOW was big for them. Would be a sea change in how WWE presents itself (in a way bigger way than the Mae Young Classic, etc)

edit: Sounds like he was trying to poach talent for WWE while on the way out, thus the TK tweets.

They did lose that final season and its not like anyone really blew up after that went off air, so it could be done

Meltzer now claiming Rock/Roman was planned as far back as Jan 3 and was part of the Rock's deal to join the TKO board. Says it was a deal between Nick Khan/Dwayne/Ari and few, if anyone else, knew.

He's also claiming that people being upset for Cody and turning him into a martyr was part of the story, but they may not have expected people to turn on the Rock.

idk about that last one. anyone, literally anyone watching the product could've figured out this would happen

How could you not expect people to turn on the Rock? Idk it is starting to feel like a work now. A pretty stupid work at best

If this is to be believed, WWE is trying to artificially manufacture a "Yes Movement" thing around Cody. This would explain why WWE people are tweeting the #wewantcody stuff trying to push that narrative out there

yeah its very clearly a decision made by a bunch of goons who have no idea what's going on. the other thing with dave's report that doesn't make sense is if Rock/Roman was always the plan and Cody wins the Rumble but isn't challenging Roman, who is Cody challenging if Punk doesn't get hurt?

Only way any of it would've ever worked is if Cody was winning the title in Perth
