TouchID on the MacBook itself for unlocking would be quite awesome.

 

I think they'll be similar to the new Magic Keyboard. (Which I'm using right now and quite like.) But then I don't mind the MacBook version either, although it's not my favorite.

 

I haven't used the new magic keyboard, I use mechanical keyboards for my externals always, but man I hated the MacBook keyboard. Tried it 3 or 4 times for 20 minutes each thing it would eventually feel better but it just never did for me.

 

Apple has the courage to get rid of the delete key. Kids make sure you don't make typos.

I have a couple, Das 4 Pro for my home setup with the mac specific layout and a Varmillo (chinese brand) that I got on Massdrop a while back because it's wireless, ten keyless, low profile, and has front printed keycaps so it looks REALLY nice on my desk at work. the Das uses Cherry MX blue switches, the wireless one uses Greens. Love both of them. I've used WASD keyboards before (or the CODE keyboard at least, which they manufacturer) and they're also really nice.

 

I got the little trial thing from WASD that has a bunch of switches and stuff to try out. I was curious and it was only like $15. I haven't decided which one I like out of all those the best. Not sure if I'd get a new keyboard, I like how little this one is on the desk all in all.

 

I'll do a direct comparison when I get to work tomorrow but I think the varmillo bluetooth one is about the same size as a magic keyboard, it's really tiny for a mechanical. Obviously a lot taller but length and width look about the same, it's only slightly bigger on any side than a the actual key layout.



Mine doesn't have the blue backlighting but that was the only picture I could find haha

On another note: are there really people who still use Vi over Vim?

Dang, I can't stand it. Luckily any Linux servers I've had to toy with either had vim already, or I've had enough freedom to install it.

I don't remember if Macs come with it or if I installed it myself through macports? No idea.

 

Also if you /really/ want small there's always 60% keyboards. Apple got rid of the function keys? Pfft, try getting rid of the function keys /and/ everything to the right of the return key!

 

Oh my. Haha. I ned arrow keys or I'd go insane.

 

Just world of Warcraft. I get 70-90 fps on average, it's a very nice late 2014 iMac

 

there's hot keys for the arrow keys! I've always wanted to try one but they're expensive (as all mechanical keyboards are) and I am like 80% sure that I would hate it so I don't really want to spend the money to try

I have basically this with blue switches and not bluetooth. best keyboard I've ever used.

 

What are some good iMessage games people are playing besides Four In A Row?

I was looking at the wireless Bose headphones the other day. While I love their sound, the actual earbuds are really gaudy. They look funny sticking out of your ear. Plus, they still have a wire attaching them.

I like the look/idea of wires being non-existent. Plus, I think it's really cool that these will automatically connect once you put them in your ear.
