I was actually hoping it would be like $2500 so it would be completely unreasonable for me to buy, haha! This however is very tempting.

 

got tix to their acoustic show tn in LA!! so hyped to see them as a crew

yeah - i'll be honest i didnt know i was on the mailing list lol. we had tix to the hollywood bowl show (so maybe that's why i got the email?) but had to sell due to a health issue.

my gf has also conveniently really gotten into boygenius recently, so we're excited to get to see them!

I guess they said at the show they’re going away for the “foreseeable future”

 

Hopefully that means Julien's country album with Torres is coming out this year

 

Really liked this album and had a lot of great memories seeing this tour but I can’t wait for them to get back to their solo careers

 

Oh man very cool evening. It was at this venue called The Smell (lol). They all were so funny and joking around between songs. They did keep saying this was their “last show”, but I couldn’t tell if they meant for a while or for good. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.

 

I'm sure that wouldn't be "for good", but we'll see

They’re probably exhausted. Been a crazy year.

 

Considering that this recent Boygenius cycle is the most successful project the Genius Boys have ever been involved with, it's awfully bizarre that they've worded this hiatus in such an ominous way.

 

It makes complete sense to fire up BG every 4 years or so and let their solo careers do their thing in between

the hype the NEXT time they reunite will be fucking wild

 

That Julien Baker collab country album was reportedly finished back in Summer 2022. I’m sure Phoebe and Lucy have had their follow up albums in progress too.
They’ll probably all do their own album cycle and then return to BG in like 3 years

 

Yeah exactly this. 1-2 album cycles each and surely they’ll reunite in a few years. They all live near/with each other now so anything could happen really.
