You mean trade in that game you paid $60+ for and you get $5-10?

    Or 40 bucks.

Plus 5-10 is better than 0 for a game you truly aren't going to play anymore.

I'm cool with digital being the future as long as consoles have lots of disk space instead of the whole "have up to 10 or so games downloaded at one time" thing my standard PS4 has going on. Steam works like a dream. Wish PSN and XBL were set-up like that via having all the classic playstation games available for download instead of literally only being able to play many of them on old hardware. Sony has been kinda stingy this gen, charging for online play, scrapping BC and PSclassics in favor of a subscription to a streaming service that doesn't even have that many games, not including an UHD drive with the PSPro, etc.

I just picked up the Gears of War 4 console and it is the largest HD yet at 2 TB. With that, it is really easy to manage between having games in the cloud and actually on the console. I am definitely loving the BC of the XBOX ONE and they haven't even scratched the surface with the number of games they plan to bring over.

The regular price for a new retail game in the Netherlands is 69€. That's also the digital price. The thing is, if you look at the 5 biggest video game sellers in the Netherlands (two dedicated video game chains, two toy store chains, one big home electronics chain), you'll normally find a new retail game for anything between 44€ and 59€. That's competition for you. As long as this continues, I'll never buy a digital copy of a console game, unless it is on sale.

    I bought Battlefield 1.

I've caved in now twice to my cousins making me buy games.

    I'm the worst.

    Certainly looks gorgeous.

  15. I've never really understood this. I've never been playing ten games concurrently, so why would I ever need more than ten games installed at the same time? I uninstall games once I finish them. This is how Steam works too; you can uninstall a game and it retains your save data for the next time you install it. Am I just atypical with the way I play games? For example, I think the only things I have installed on my PS4 at the moment are The Witcher 3, Overwatch, and Rocket League.

No, you are not alone. I only install the games I am currently playing. I have The Division, Gears 4, The Swindle and ROTR on there and the rest is in the cloud. You just have to manage your games properly.

I keep all my games because I like having them all available and it sucks having a 500 gb hard drive so I was planning on buying a bigger external drive eventually.

Yeah I need a bigger ssd

but I hate having a bunch of game or dvd cases personally

Same, I would rather make room for my son's things than DVD's, game cases, and cases that just take up space and don't get used on a regular basis.

personally, as someone who used to have a bunch of shit, it feels very liberating to get rid of everything I don't functionally need.

It really does! I recently got rid of literally every game I own and now I am currently going through all my CD's. I don't think I have purchased music in the past year in physical form. My wife and I both agreed long ago that having DVD's wasn't practical as it is impossible to watch them all and took up a lot of space. We gave them to her grandparents! Hey, at least they went to a good home!

Let me know how it is. I am still on the fence. The big question is: physical or digital?!
