I’ve tried a bunch of different options throughout my career, often needing to use something cross platform. Nothing works as well for me as Reminders. Just simple and straightforward.

Combine it with Agenda and it’s good.

I saw GTD mentioned a few times today while looking up tips and tricks for Todoist and this makes a lot of sense so I'll probably mirror my Todoist lists after this, at least loosely.

I did buy Things on my iPhone sometime last year but I 1) didn't check the price of the Mac app beforehand and 2) I really do need something cross platform so I can use it on my work computer, so for now at least it's Todoist.

On another note: I already mentioned this in the technology thread but I saw Kagi mentioned on Daring Fireball and checked it out and I already absolutely love it. A part of me wants to feel silly for spending money on a search engine but on the other hand it feels amazing to get actual results rather than sponsored links and AI garbage, so far results seem better than DDG, and I love supporting stuff like this.

I use TickTick for productivity. The only productivity app I really like looking at, is cheap, and is loaded with features that don’t get in the way if you don’t want to use them.

Anyone ever have their watch (series 6) apparently lose connectivity and decouple from their phone? It doesnt receive notifications or send my sleep data but the messages do periodically refresh. Can’t send faces to it. Trying to update OS from the phone just loads the “checking for updates” screen in perpetuity. Connected to WiFi but says it doesn’t have internet. Bizarre!

Down for me too, I can only listen to stuff I've already downloaded.

Watching that Verge review made me so happy that I don't have Apple Vision Pro money to blow on this thing.

This is definitely one of those products that will be incredible a few iterations later. This is purely for Apple to get developer support and feedback from consumers who can afford one. Like the first Apple Watch, many were questioning its relevance and what it was actually trying to solve, Apple got it right a few versions later so I have no doubt the Vision Pro will be the same, especially when the device itself becomes less bulky / heavy and they get the price right.

Once this is refined in a few years and costs like 60% less I’m totally going to use it as an over priced/over powered movie watching machine the same way I used a MacBook Pro as a web browser/email checker 10 years ago lol

I had about 30gb of photos on my phone, which I backed up manually to my external HD so I could free up the space. I deleted the photos but now they’re sitting in Recently Deleted folder. When I go there and select them to be permanently deleted I am able to select that option yet my phone won’t actually delete any of the photos. When you go back into the recently deleted the photos reappear. Any suggestions besides just waiting the 20 days for the photos to expire?

Wonder how they’ll integrate the battery into the headset in a future iteration

  23. I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

Maybe but in most of the photos I’ve seen of tech people trying it out at Apple offices/events, it’s not seen. It’s just funny!
