I know! There are some good ones left. I might just keep trying to do one a day and make my peace with finishing late.

Haha take it at your own pace man. It's only worth it if it stays fun. But I'm itching to see what you think of that one.

I found myself doing a bit different this year and doing discography runs of bands I’ve always thought I’d like but never took the time to listen to:
    Sunny Day Real Estate
    Queens of the Stone Age
Fall Out Boy (post Infinity on High)
    Paramore

I’m almost ashamed of myself for not listening to Sunny Day …just incredible stuff

Obviously behind so Im just picking from my list out of order. Just started The Roches and holy shit hahaha. Going from "We" to "Hammond Song" is so fucking cool. Those opening chords sound so good

I completely lost my way with this here this month, which is a shame. However, I’ve been listening to The Koln Concert by Keith Jarrett repeatedly, and it’s absolutely mind blowing.

I’ve never heard piano sounding the way he does. I’m completely transfixed with it, and haven’t been able to listen to much else over the last couple of weeks.

    Koln Concert is outta bounds.

It has the story, but just about all the live improv records are must listens too.

I listen to this standards album a lot too:

The Sun Bear Sessions are excellent as well. Also love "The Melody at Night" and "Facing You"

Yes, I started the Sun Bear Sessions a little bit too! There’s like six hours of them, and there feels like there’s so much going on in the Koln Concert, so I’ve been returning to that for the most part. Really looking forward to exploring his music going forward.

Oh man, I completely forgot about this. Probably because I never finished last year...

    I should do it.

got through all but these last year (I think?). Gonna add them to the new list. Any ambient or calming jazz recs are greatly appreciated. Also any solid entrypoints for your fav/under appreciated artists you think I’d dig

Will see if I can make a list tomorrow. I dropped off about half way through (or maybe even earlier) last year, so will try and pick more interesting albums this time.

Twitter becoming an absolute cesspool made this a lot less fun last year. I think that was my issue. That and having a really busy February, I guess.

I need to look back at last year's list. I think I've listened to some of them since, but could transfer a few over.

I can’t believe I’m about to recommend a comp, especially one that omits one of my 10 favorite songs of all time, but Croce’s Photographs & Memories is a basically perfect listen.

    Mark III

Soon to be known as Mark IV

Going to try to do this this year. I always fall behind on the weekends, but here's 29 albums I've never heard (or in a couple cases maybe heard once a really long time ago and have no recollection of) with an emphasis on older stuff/artists/genres I don't typically listen to, but should/would like to get more into.

The Beach Boys - Surf's Up
    Nas - It Was Written
Nat "King" Cole - Where Did Everyone Go?
Neil Young - After the Gold Rush
    The Doors - Strange Days
    The Who - Tommy
    Grateful Dead - Terrapin Station
    Frank Sinatra - Watertown
    Destiny's Child - Destiny Fulfilled
Sixpence None the Richer - Sixpence None the Richer
    Dr. Dre - The Chronic
Usher - Confessions Radiohead - The Bends
    U2 - War
Stevie Ray Vaughn - Couldn't Stand the Weather
    Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland
    Elton John - Tumbleweed Connection
    Tom Petty - Southern Accents
Better Oblivion Community Center - Ten Captivating Stories
    Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
The Velvet Underground - Andy Warhol
Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life
Dizzy Gillespie - Swing Low Sweet Cadillac
Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks
    Buddy Holly - Buddy Holly
    Sonny Rollins - The Bridge
Lucinda Williams - Happy Woman Blues
2Pac - Me Against the World
    Etta James - Tell Mama
Otis Redding & Carla Thomas - King & Queen

Not sure what order I'll listen to those in yet.
