UE5 is so sick. The best engine literally ever. I am glad it's getting movie adoption too, the tools are really good and it will probably cut down a lot of needless crunch.

A lot of shows are already shot with Unreal technology, The Mandalorian for example.

Sorry if this has been shared already. Some interesting info in here. Biggest thing people might care about is that they said there’s no romance with companions

 

they have a giant virtual OLED wall powered with UE that they are using instead of a green screen, cutting down on post-production time significantly as the sets are already "in camera"

 

I knew about The Volume, but I didn’t really know what went into it or that it was using UE. Never even occurred to me that that’s what they’d use. Might have to do a deep dive on this now to learn more about it.

I’m glad to see a woman at the helm considering Blizzards culture was very frat-like. But her former position makes me worry a whole lot about Blizzard IPs.

 

That also puts blizzard employees right back under an Activision executive

 

How has Granblue been?

 

It’s a ton of fun. I spent the last hour doing some of the online co-op missions. Dialogue is a lil corny but I’d say it’s in line with most JRPG stuff. Combat is a lot of fun and it looks like there’s some pretty in-depth stuff in terms of characters mastery skill trees + different combos you can tap into with the large amount of party members

 

Never mind Sony knew this is what the people wanted
