They weren't always. They followed Macho Man to WCW and sponsored them until WCW went under. WWE got them back later.

I do not think this is going to effect HHH like everyone in the comments does. I think this is going to be Bruce Prichard for sure. Someone else in the thread said Michael Hayes which I could see too.

I have not been paying close attention at all and legit thought Roman wasn’t going to have a match at Rumble until I watched the first segment of Smackdown tonight.

And I guess I could understand why he wouldn’t necessarily need a match as no one believes he’s gonna lose so what’s the point. At least it’s not against Owens for a third straight year lol

getting rid of HHH would be a colossally dumb move from a financial standpoint. They almost certainly aren't going to do it.

is it quite likely that he is at least partially complicit in Vince's actions? Sure. But while Vince can go away and nothing of value will be lost... HHH does actually bring value to the product so TKO is going to be way more hesitant about getting rid of him.

Real question is if Stephanie comes back. The McMahon name is probably tainted enough that there isn't room for "Stephanie McMahon", but "Stephanie Levesque", who left, came back to help run things when Vince left the first time, then left again right after Vince came back, riding in to "right the ship" and "turn over a new leaf"... yeah that seems like a possibility (even if in reality, Steph leaving was intentionally done specifically to create the optics of distance for a reason like this)

 

Did they kill that storyline where Melo possibly attacked Trick backstage?
