I don’t think on the UFC side of things anyone will care, and I’m not positive the WWE side really needs him anymore.

  2. I feel like they could've gotten the deal done without VKM around

its weird that they would want to wash their hands of him this quickly after the announcement and in the buildup to their biggest shows of the year

Well yeah I agree but the corporate world is weird and by all accounts he was somehow seen as a benefit in the negotiations. It doesn’t make sense to me but

i mean, McMahon and WWE are synonymous in American corporate culture. trying to sell a company and rights to it's television two months after the guy who was projected to die in that role left suddenly looks like you are trying to sell a sinking ship.

it's like what Vince said about Cody's return: they bought it cause it worked, not to change it. bigwigs don't want the new, two month McMahonless WWE finding it's footing. they want the thing they've heard about that brought them to the table, or whatever they think did.

  7. It says they had a Special Committee Investigation in November of 2022 to look into the misconduct and they never bothered to interview the girl despite her saying she’d cooperate

Depending who was on that, it could be pretty damning.

Which is insane, because metrics were universally up after Vince was ousted. It was quite literally the visible opposite of a sinking ship. It looked like a company that had rid itself of a cancer, and yet, he still wielded tremendous power because of corporate inertia.

yeah, i mean think of the amount of cache Vince has with TV execs and stuff after all this time, he is a deplorable meat pile but he def had value in networking and i would bet all my money his availability got them into multiple talks. thinking back to like the Golden Egg thing and the zombie crosspromo from that Miz match. also that interactive New Day thing for Halloween. a good chance Vince laid that initial groundwork for this deal

This is all gross. I really hated reading all of that and cannot fathom how they thought some of this shit wouldn’t leak. I feel so bad for the victims of Vince. What a vile piece of shit.

I know it doesn’t matter at all, but I honestly feel pretty disgusted and have a big time moral dilemma if I should consider watching the Rumble or not.

To that point, I always find it much harder with wrestling, movies, and TV shows than I do bands or artists when it comes to not supporting shitty people. Bands/artists feel pretty cut and dry for me, whereas, with something like this, there are hundreds of decent, hard-working people in WWE that had absolutely nothing to do with this and I still like and want to support them and watch what they do. It's tough, though.

i will be honest, i have an incredibly easy time watching WWE. it has been associated with the lowest tier of pop culture for as long as i've known it, which was long after Vince's first scandals.

Peacock hasn't charged me in 21 months (the bank account linked to my card doesn't even exist anymore). i have baked and clones for if that ever bricks, and torrents forever once those go away.

i have never sexually assaulted anyone and will continue to enjoy wrestling

What truly lost me on WWE was when they laid off a ton of people during the pandemic while simultaneously posting record profits for that year.

    fuck
    that
    shit

the work culture has been all sorts of toxic for a long time.

The absolute worst people in the world created most of the stuff we use and enjoy every day. It sucks, but it’s the world we live in.

Does Endevour have the power to just give Vince the boot and have him be gone then, now and forever?

Also what does this mean for the Netflix Vince doc? Netflix was already a bit compromised with that and their new streaming deal. But now, either this stuff isn't covered and they become complicit in giving Vince a pass or it is covered and netflix better hope Vince isn't part of the company anymore and they can try to spin it as all the offending people are gone

TKO is public, almost certainly would go to a board/investor vote. or whatever words go here for money things

WWE was also previously public. But my understanding was that Vince had enough voting power that it was impossible to get rid of him.

  25. LuigiPeppercorn

Vince doesn't have the voting power for them to not get rid of him, and TKO has literally mentioned Vince as a legal liability in SEC filings. I thought I have read that he has in his contract that he can only be removed from his role in retirement or death, but I can't seem to find it anywhere so maybe it was just a bad dream
