Atlanta being on a Saturday night may mean I have to go. It's so hard to travel 3+ hours for shows as a working adult. But this album is so good.

I haven’t put much time into actually thinking about my EOTY list yet, but I think this is quickly shooting its way up to maybe even being in the top 5.

Having now seen the setlist for this tour being 90% of this album, I really, really, really want to make it happen. But I'm already driving to Atlanta the following weekend for my cousin's elopement.

ooh where did you see the setlist?

update: found it. looks like the entire album is on the setlist, in addition to a couple songs off of Iridescent and TNGS, and of course Panic Room is there too. i'm also super pumped for Thornhill's set after seeing they played my favorite song from Heroine (Leather Wings).

They are so insanely in their zone live with this tour. Dreamwalker and Antimatter were MASSIVE.

The more I listen to this album, the more I’m surprised it hasn’t caught on in the chorus scene but I’m also so happy they’re blowing up anyways. It’s so good.

Fantastic album. I need to revisit. So much great stuff this year so it’s been hard to keep everything in rotation

  10. Feels hard to believe The Night God Slept turns 10 in a couple months, that album blew my mind at a time

song is great. looks like they've officially left Solid State and are independent for the first time in a decade.

We reach for the longest shadow

I for one, welcome our new industrial metalcore overlords.

seriously though, this rules. Reminds me of Spiritbox’s Rotoscope at times. Garrett remains one of the best metalcore vocalists in the game.

Yeah, this rules. Getting some minor nu-metal Korn vibes on the verses and I love it

i remember when Rotoscope released i told my partner "this song sounds like the future, and that's the best way i can describe it". when we listened to Mindframe, he said "this feels a lot like Rotoscope in that it sounds like the future". i can definitely pick up on a lot of similar elements and production choices.

found on their IG post promoting the song. gee, it's almost like they toured with Thornhill twice this year and have used the same producer as Spiritbox for 3 of their most acclaimed albums. but sure, more industrial flourishes and a less-soaring melodic hook are where you draw the line (elements that are already scattered throughout their back catalog)

I still don't understand the Thornhill hate, but what can you do?

I heard someone say this track is "NIN if they were a metalcore band"

    I like that
