It is so ridiculous the hoops you need to jump through to download a game at a still terrible speed on the microsoft store or game pass app on PC

 

the Game Pass app is dog water. I just buy my stuff on Steam at this point even if it's on GP because it's giving me indecision paralysis -- and yeah, the app.

I've had no issues with it on Xbox of course but on PC it's so frustrating

I honestly just thought it was interesting how similar they were to each other.

 

those DQ monsters and Pokemon all at least look completely different from each other, just following the same archetypes.
the PALworld ones didn't even try to use original takes on them (i saw some quote from the company saying they're not big on "originality?")

 

Yeah I look at that as a fun interesting thing in terms of the archetypes spawning these similar creations but in their own particular styles like both of y'all said

Palworld definitely shouldn't exist, and it probably won't at some point

It also says so much about the state of Pokemon games that so many people jumped to a blatant ripoff with the hopes of the game being actually good in the same way they did to the initial run of TemTem or whatever it was called

But yeah it still shouldn't exist, Pokemon should just do better (they won't)

 

Palworld will be around as long as the devs decide to keep updating it. History tells us survival based crafting games don’t last very long at all unless you’re Minecraft.

They just made a mind blowing amount of money in record time on steam. Depends how motivated they are but I’d be shocked if the game doesn’t run out of juice in 6 months.

They should just consider making a better Pokemon game.

 

Even as someone who enjoyed Scarlet/Violet and Arceus a fair bit, Nintendo and Game Freak need to get Monolithsoft to help with their open world in the same way they did for BotW/TotK.
