This is a good ass record

 

Banger after banger here. One of the most fun and creative releases from this scene in a long time.

Snag sounds like early Four Year Strong, I mean that in the best way possible lol.

 

I'm actually annoyed by how much I like this. Reminds me of randomly scrolling through band pages on Myspace.

the most surface level grasp of the modern taste
to try and recapture fame cuz you lost the race
So throw on some 808s, maybe add some dubstep
and then you'll finally be on the cutting edge of 2010

was thinking i wasn’t feeling this but then i decided not to be seen as bitter bc i can’t compete.

 

I don't like the parts that sound like Fall Out Boy but the nu-metal stuff is dumb and fun lol. Would probably still listen to Weezer over this.

I dig the last two songs the most and I think after another album or two this band could have something really special.

 

Worldstar alone>>>>>>>Weezer’s entire discography, just imo

the one thing I do hope for a little in the future from them is that they let more of the songs breathe a bit but honestly the insane pace of the tracks work in a way kinda akin to hyperpop for me. CheemTV still has a handful of my fav songs by the band but this one feels just a bit more like they solidified the sonic shifts they started w that one and feels like the better as a whole.
