7 tracks in to Green Day and I'm enjoying this a lot more than I would expect to from a 2024 Green Day album.

Nothing much else for me today. Going to continue exploring some 2023 releases I missed like FRND CRCL, The Young Hearts, Jeff Rosenstock, Ranges and Petey.

Green Day and Neck Deep for sure.

Learned about glass beach from coming to this thread, and after just one song I am wondering how I've never heard of this band before!

Some cool singles too, particularly the new Many Eyes track, which sounds like it could be an alt-rock radio hit!

 

Modern Life Is War released an album today? How did I miss this one?

Glass Beach has me melting in my damn office chair.

 

Came in here to say this exact same thing, & I'm only on track 5. It feels really good to enjoy new Green Day this much, I think it's been since American Idiot that I feel this way
I feel the same about Neck Deep, I knew I'd like it but didn't expect to love it as much as I do, it's so polished & clean

 

One listen through Green Day, and nope, I'm good.

 

Super excited to check out SLIFT, Green Day, & Cowboy Sadness!

Also lots of singles: sleepmakeswaves, Chelsea Wolfe, Many Eyes, Idles, Bleachers, & Middle Kids.

 

They usually don't post releases for bands that have been accused of anything. So either this one slipped, or maybe they aren't as bad as others?

 

Is that hard? The last album was awful lol.

 

I don't have the patience to sit and digest that Glass Beach album. There are some really cool parts (cul-de-sac was reminding of Parannoul and TWIABP) but after a while I just want to play Helmet.

 

It's a solid album but ends too quick. I wish they added 2 more songs.
