@dtbjerke posted this in the “bands you loved that faded away” thread:

Josh Kirby (Moving Mountains, who have been mentioned here a bunch) released an EP with Ross Traver (Wavves) back in November under the band name Mantles.

It’s sick. The guitar on this really reminds me of prawn but overall it’s a little chiller than Prawn

thanks for posting this here, I'm subbed to that thread, but I haven't been getting notifications for so many of my threads lately ehh. Checking it out right away, always loved Josh's input! (for MovMou, but also if anybody remembers his project Mount Carmel and the End of the World)

So, I am a massive Youth Fountain fan and was wondering if there were other bands that you guys could recommend. Youth Fountain completely dominated by Spotify Unwrapped playlist for 2023 lol

I’d recommend the Arm’s Length album from a couple years ago first and foremost.

The Be Safe record is out today.

And since that's been received so well here, I am reposting an album from two years ago that fans of the above may also like. A more aggressive sound, but it's from the same songwriter and studio. (I'm in this band and looking for piggyback attention since we self-released and didn't get the cyls media push) sorry, thanks

I said to print it out and then scan it back in and they did lol

  25. Totally a shameless plug: My band put our debut EP out today. Streaming everywhere and on Bandcamp with a zine we made for it!

We worked with Nicholas Starrantino, who recent produced the incredible Republic of Wolves album that was getting a lot of attention. If you like his work, I interviewed him in the zine and he has so many pearls about recording and music.

FFO: My Chemical Romance, Refused (one review compared us to them, which is wild), My Morning Jacket (at Nick's suggestion), emo music
