Getting a lot of Weezer energy on this album. Felt that way about "Goodnight Adeline" for sure.

What is the intro riff to Adeline? It is giving me love child of Pumpkins’ Today and Better Than Ezra’s Good but I can’t tell if it’s a third track that is more closer that I’m actually recalling (maybe even an older GD song?). It’s like 90s alt rock ear drugs.

I would definitely love to listen to this album if someone were able to make it possible.

This is far better than I was expecting.

The clip I heard of it reminded me of Against Me's "Boyfriend" which is also a little Weezer-ish

The track Saviors reminds me of Hell Hole from This Is Spinal Tap hahaha.

  8. You don't have to like it, but it's true!

Also, "Coma City" is pretty good!

  9. Neither of these things are true. And Weezer still sucks.

Bobby Sox is giving me more FIDLAR vibes than Weezer

  11. Weezer hasn't written a song as good as the worst Against Me song, sorry.

Weezer wishes they could be as good as Weezer.

I 1000% agree with that take, just telling you what I heard.

  14. "Corvette Summer" is cornier than "Coma City," lol. Fun record so far.

I am once again asking for a moratorium on mentioning "TikTok" and "Instagram" in rock lyrics, though.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

album isn't even out yet and we're throwing out strays at bands instead of just having a conversation. never change chorus

    anyway Coma City rips

  17. "Suzie Chapstick" is crazy lol reminds me of "Byzantine" by Weezer which was co-written by, you guessed it, Laura Jane Grace

  18. Coma City has such a lazy ass b-side chorus.

I think it’s a Kevin Codigan riff/end flourish I’m hearing but can’t remember which 3EB song it’s making me think of.

How long do people think the Pumpkins will play on this tour? Like, is this technically a co-headliner and they will get 90-120 min and just play early - or will they more likely just get a long opener type set (60 min)? Curious if anyone has opinions. I didn't go to the Green Day/Weezer tour so not sure how that worked with a similar setup

I think this whole album is quite enjoyable all over sprinkled with the occasional filler and corny ass lyric here and there that I will absolutely be tolerating after that last album. Just feels like the effort was here this time around in comparison to ****

Yeah. It sounds like they genuinely enjoyed branching out and making FOAMF the way it was but they acknowledge no one else was into it and came out really focused on making a solid Green Day record on this one. Very good rec.

Definitely not a coheadliner. Can’t imagine they’ll play for more than 60 minutes
