Dev woulda been sick but also glad some interesting actors are staying outside of the MCU.

 

Just finished Echo. Overall really enjoyed it - still a little mixed on the “powers” element for the character but really did love the focus on lineage and ancestors.

Alaqua Cox was phenomenal in this, honestly can’t wait to see more of the character.

Some weird stuff with Kingpin’s hammer not being the same as in DD, not sure if there’s a real explanation. Also bugs me that the blip is overlooked when it would have been a huge event, especially to Maya’s family who had already lost so much.

Echo was good! My wife hasn’t sern Netflix Daredevil, so we’re starting that now.

 

ayo that Echo/Daredevil fight in episode 1 absolutely whips ass

 

I think Echo was one of the best MCU series so far. Feels like they put a lot of care into it

 

I only watched the first episode but that whole fight with Daredevil was close enough in tone and everything to the Netflix show to definitely have me optimistic for Born Again

 

Putting the expenses aside, I think it's interesting that the press continues to ask about second seasons like these shows are normal TV series that are expected to be long-running and not the links in the chain that is the MCU.

Loki already had a second season planned from the start, and it's the only one that's had a second season announced despite other shows being just as successful.

Do I think a show's popularity would help dictate the direction of future events? Sure, of course. But this still says to me more about the unwillingness to eject expected conventions than anything else.

On episode 3 of Echo and I’m really enjoying it so far. I appreciate how it’s a smaller show that fits the character but also shines a light on why they are an interesting character. Much better than I thought it would be given when/how it dropped.

 

Just delay Thunderbolts so Steven can do it. It’s not like we were getting it soon, so who cares
