This is quite interesting. Letting fans know in advance that he won’t be there, will be curious how the shows are built and what the reception is. Obviously since these are new markets they’ll sell out right away anyway vs not having Roman at a PPV in a commonly visited state may have more impact, but I wonder how many people are looking at the numbers and thinking, “hey we’re still selling out everything even with Roman. Maybe he doesn’t need to be champion anymore, we can build a great show without him” (or at least not have him be the champ)

 

I kind of assumed the whole point of bringing in punk was a “it buys us a year without Roman” kind of move. He moves tickets through WM while Roman chills and carries a major tv story on the other brand once roman has lost the belt

Fun part comes when Roman comes back and the guy who beat him is still champ…and their hot new streaming deal wants Roman as their champ over the current guy
