Last night but said they don't have any employees to talk to over the weekend. I'm definitely gonna raise hell on monday

 

Been playing a lot of Slay the Spire, then Hades, then revisited Dead Cells and Dreamscaper for a little bit. I have KH1.5+2.5 installed but I kinda wanna play something 2d/isometric, maybe Shadowrun Returns?

 

I got a bunch of free stuff on Epic and idek where to start. (very long list)

i think quite a few of these are free-to-play pvp, which I'm not really interested in right now.

 

I don't even know what most of those are, and that's saying something.

 

I like how when I read a bunch I was like ok maybe like 10/20 games and then the list never ended it kept going that’s a crazy list

Modern gaming and the technical expectations are becoming untenable. This is the way, Ubisoft has the right idea with PoP. The graphics horse race needs to end.

 

Some of my favorite games of the last ten years have graphics comparable to the NES or SNES.

On the other hand, Elden Ring was breathtaking. But that's just it, AAA graphics are only useful in the hands of people who know what to do with it.

 

Elden Ring is a ps4 game. It’s clearly a gen behind held up by excellent art direction so that just reinforces my point. Haha

but yes gorgeous game.

guardians of the galaxy is a great linear 20 hour game to play

 

Play Samarost, and if you dig it, get the rest of Amanita's games. Especially Machinarium and Botanicula.

 

Yeah I know what that one is haha, there's a bunch I haven't even heard of

I actually started GotG when it was on Gamepass but didn't get very far, wouldn't mind starting over from the beginning

 

I’ve actually been considering either starting kingdom hearts 1.5 again as a replay or rage 2 because I heard some good things about it

 

Deflecting bullets back at enemies with a futuristic katana in Cyberpunk is peak gaming.

 

I've been on a Vikings kick lately and I remember getting the game at launch, putting in around 30-40 hours and I'm kinda wanting to return but I also DREAD coming back and being hit with all the quests I had active and not knowing where to resume lol.

But that's also when I had a PS4 and now that I have a PS5 I wouldn't mind seeing the upgrade.

 

Picked up this rogue deckbuilder because it just looked like good vibes and yeah this is a really fun one.

 

I always recommend AC Valhalla to people, underrated game that deserves far more credit than it ever got. I played it front to back in one go through tho so not sure on picking it up after stopping, though I have been able to return to similar games after a period away with success but others it’s tough so idk. For example I’ve been playing dragons dogma on and off for a year and a half now with the same save file, but that game has a lot less going on story wise.


But speaking of AC Valhalla I never played any of the DLC and have wanted to get back into it to check them out, but I also want to play one of the AC games I’ve never played before. I’ve got the rogue and black flag switch port sitting on my shelf and have put maybe 3 hours into rogue, maybe knocking out those two is in my future. and on the subject of Ubisoft open world games I’ve been itching to replay far cry 4 and/or 5 but I’ve had primal sitting in my backlog far longer than I can even remember and would like to play it some day. 6 is on ps plus tho so the smart move would to play that one if I need to scratch the far cry itch right? Right?!

Player's Log: Trails of Cold Steel III.

Finished the first day of the field study in Chapter 3 and Rean getting kissed on the cheek by two older women in one night is peak anime.

What is also unfortunately peak anime is the Flanderization of Angelica. Like, I get the previous games established that she can be horny, but she's literally being a dirty old man every other line now, and it's pretty offputting.

Like, Olivert can be a lech sometimes, but he at least knows there's a time and a place. Angelica used to as well, but now it's become her defining trait.

I don't know if this is just Japanese stereotyping of homosexuality or a more conscious choice about the direction to take her character, but please Angelica, I'm begging you to take a cold shower and chill.

 

Heard good things about this one and I basically pickup every deck builder I can get my hands on (physically and digitally)

 

I've been mainling Harvestella all weekend. Super underrated.

 

Anyone tried Crystal Project?
