I do not understand the golden globes. How is this season of Fargo nominated?

The Globes window is just the calendar year, right? Or is it different for TV? The Emmys window is already weird and is even weirder this year since the strike pushed back the ceremony.

 

I guess, just seems weird when maybe half the season was out? When did voting start?

 

Not sure, but I assume voters got screeners for later episodes, or they just submitted episodes from early in the season.

 

Pretty sure when nominations came out, only 1 or 2 episodes had aired.

Very strange.

 

Must have been the nipple piercings that did it then. Smart.

 

The only thing I remember from season 4 (besides the tornado and the weird halfhearted insert of that five second scene from season two of mike Milligan just sitting in a car) is how much I loved the opening scene and how interesting I thought the setup was.

I thought Ethelrida was going to be our main character and thought the season was going in a wild and different direction only for the season to sideline her and retread the whole gang war conflict that season two did better.

 

I enjoyed the kids trade off... some other things got pretty clunky but it had its moments.

 

One of my favorite parts of s4 was just a small exchange of when Milligans mentor character was telling him the best way to stab someone bigger than him. It had a lot of weight and insight to how Milligan is and how he came up.

My memory of season 4 is a small shootout where Gaetano runs around like goblin blasting pistols with both hands and a goofy ass smile. Really felt like that dude was on a completely different show. Though I guess that could be said about every character in season 4

 

The way Roy didn't even check on his wife while he was searching his house, then just abandoned Gator in the field. Not that there was anything redeeming about him up to this point, but those two moments were really vicious.

 

Hulu’s new ad strategy can fuck right off. What the hell am I paying to stream this for if I get hit with 90 seconds of commercials at every break?

 

Yep, one of the standout moments for me.

Roy is fucking scum.


All in all, another superb episode. I'm legit bummed this season is coming to a close next week as it's now my favorite season altogether. Its been a blast week to week watching this unfold!

Ole Munch legitimately might be my favorite Fargo character ever. He has so many great moments and this episode was no exception. Really looking forward to the finale next week!

 

Solid episode

So, like, what’s the deal with Munch? I’ve avoided asked because I thought maybe more would be revealed, even lightly spoon fed, to us. But this episode certainly seemed like his exit. I know everyone likes him but I don’t really get what he’s supposed to represent or if it’s like a folklore thing that I’m missing?
