seeing Virgil Abloh, Kids See Ghost and Playboi Carti in the same weekend was pretty wild

 

Since we've been on the topic of venue sizes versus bands pull today as per usual, I noticed a large chunk of the Beartooth tour is sold out. That coupled with Caleb saying their production on this run is trying to bring arena size production into clubs/theaters (plus their newest album seeming like they're really trying for the Octane crowd and arena anthems) makes me think they may be going to bigger venues on the next run. Maybe larger theaters and/or small amps (5000ish cap)?

Just saw the Playboi Carti pit tickets in San Diego's arena show are going for $350 dllrs on regular price / not resale or "Platinum Ticket". That's insane and probably will get canceled because it looks like it's not selling well.

Yeah the NOFX shows were the first thing that came to mind for me

 

Did not have a RKL reunion on my 2024 bingo card but holy shit is this awesome news! Tony's a perfect vocalist for them too.

They will for sure be doing a few of those NOFX dates too. And wouldn't be shocked if that was the impetus.

St. Louis rock station with a annual fest announcement… maybe I’m out of the loop but this doesn’t feel amphitheater worthy, not much here for me but I’ll at least give them credit for finally not booking the same 5 bands every year (shinedown, papa roach, chevelle, breaking Benjamin, and seether)

 

I could see them jumping on a tour with Hardy tbh. I’m not a huge fan of Hardy’s music but he seems to be trying to pivot to the whole octane crowd.

 

Saw them in 2019 on A Day to Remember's Degenerates tour (ADTR / I Prevail / Beartooth) which did civic centers, & ADTR had the smallest crowd of the night. I think in the near future Beartooth will headline large theaters/small amps/civic centers no problem. Rationale: my friend's husband who's an alt-right gun-loving conspiracy theorist asked me if I knew them

 

I can remember them playing a house show in Terre Haute, IN in like 2014 to maybe the only 100 scene/hardcore/metalcore kids in the area. Their career arc since then has been crazy.

 

The art for that 3eb tour is atrocious lol

I've wanted to go to Boston Calling since they started, at least once in my life, but that line up aint convincing me this is the year. So weak compared to previous line ups.
